Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Ferdinand Aliga, Psy.D., and the founder of Twenty3 Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (license #PSY35608) serving Californians via adult individual, couple, and group therapy. I am honored to have the opportunity to follow my passion of being a positive contributor to people’s mental health journeys.

If you are reading this, I commend you for taking that first brave step in researching therapists. Finding the right fit is such an important part of the healing process. Whether you are experiencing something internal, external, or both I want to help. I specialize in overcoming breakups, men’s issues, relationship issues, life transitions, depression, and exploring cultural identity. Part of this work includes exploring past experiences and relationships and how they currently impact us. I also use humor in my work, it can be such a healing tool.

Through my experiences as a male psychologist of color and an immigrant, I have gained a deep appreciation of how gender and culture can play significant roles in our outlooks on life, relationships, family, conflict, happiness, and ourselves. One of my goals is to help people find a healthy and fulfilling balance of all these factors.

I am also an adjunct professor in Pepperdine University’s Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) master’s program because I want to "pay it forward" by helping the next generation of therapists be the best clinicians they can be. This is also why I chose the the Training and Supervision Specialty Track at The University of Southern California (USC) for my Postdoctoral Fellowship training year.
